Instruction for use:
Calcium
1. Rinse the test vessel several times with the water to be tested and fill to the 10 mL. mark.
2. Add 2 drops of reagent #1 and also 2 drops of reagent #2, then swirl gently. Solution will be pink color.
3. Drop reagent #T drop by drop with swirls gently. After color change from pink to blue. Counts and record as A.
Magnesium
1. Rinse the test vessel several times with the water to be tested and fill to the 5 mL. mark.
2. Add 1 level spoon of powder #3 and swirl gently, the solution will be orange color.
3. Drop reagent #T drop by drop with swirls gently and counts the total drops that change the solution color from orange to green and record as B.
Ca = A * 40 (ppm)
Mg = (B – A/2) * 50 (ppm)
Total hardness= B * 200
